Argentina - January 2009
The Bozeman Angler hosted trip to Argentina was a wonderful experience. We spent the week of January 10 - 17 with Don & Jon Lister and Colleen and Wayne Minami in the beautiful Carrileufu Valley Lodge near Cholila, north of Esquel. The fishing was stellar on the Rivadavia & Carrileufu Rivers. We also fished several lakes and the El Cannel spring creek in Los Alerces National Park. The folks at the Carrileufu Valley Lodge were just fantastic and made us all feel welcome and comfortable. Fly fishing is the passion that drives us to the ends of the earth, but it's the friends and cultures that remain in our hearts and memory that keeps us going back. The food and wine was delicious.
Many thanks to Willy Ricigliano and his wife, Isabel, who took care of every detail to make sure everyone had a wonderful stress-free experience. It is that attention to detail that will always make us book our trips to Argentina with Willy. And on top of that, he is the funniest guy I know in all of South America. He kept us laughing all week.
After the group departed Bariloche, Argentina, Pam and I spent two weeks exploring all over Patagonia looking for more interesting places, trout rivers and lodges to show our friends and clients. We fished and hiked in three different National Parks and covered many beautiful miles of breathtaking scenery. The people of Argentina are the kindest most helpful people on earth. We will return in 2010. For dates on our hosted trips or information on fly fishing Argentina, give us a call at 800-886-9111 or email us at info@bozemanangler.com.
